On Wednesday 1 November 2023 at 19.30, Dr Helen Fry will give an online talk on her latest book Women in Intelligence: the hidden history of two world wars. (This event is actually being organised by TNA, but it is included here because Dr Helen Fry is a past President of FTNA.)
In the twentieth century, women took on an extraordinary range of roles in intelligence, defying the conventions of their time.
Historian Helen Fry will look at the rich and varied intelligence and espionage work women undertook, from spies in the Belgian network who knitted coded messages into jumpers, to those who interpreted aerial images and even ran entire sections.This will be an online event, and bookings can be made via Eventbrite using this link.
