The Friends of The National Archives (FTNA) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charity Commission (charity number 1185971).
The charity is run by a Board of Trustees, with a maximum of 12 trustees. Trustees are appointed by the members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Where there are less than the full number of trustees, the board may co-opt members to serve as trustees; these members will then seek approval from members at the next AGM.
There are currently vacancies for up to three members. We are looking for help to develop a social media presence and to help with planning and managing events for members.
We hold five trustee meetings a year, plus the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Most meetings are held online via Zoom but two meetings are in person at The National Archives at Kew.
The existing group of trustees are a friendly and diverse group and welcome new additions to the Board.
If you would like to discuss an opportunity, please contact the Chair, Charles Waddicor email: chairman@ftna.org.uk
