This page is about volunteering with the charity The Friends of the National Archives CIO.

FTNA always has a need for committed volunteers to assist with the administration of the charity and would welcome your enquiry. Currently we have a number of vacancies available, most of which can be carried out remotely and online.

Other roles involve organising visits, recruiting new members and fundraising.

If you are interested in volunteering, please forward your current CV, and a few details about yourself and why you feel you are a suitable candidate to take up one of the roles to Charles Waddicor, Chairman –

For over 20 years The National Archives themselves have organised volunteers to work with the documents, doing such tasks as cataloguing, transcribing, digitising and conservation.  If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer working with the documents, please follow this link.
